New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck issues a statement on newly acquired forward and exposes who he truly is as a person on and off the ice.

The New York Rangers have recently reunited with forward J.T. Miller, which has brought two close friends together, with Trocheck and Miller finally being on the same team.
J.T. Miller has always been known as a fierce competitor and has a tenacity on the ice you see every night he plays.
One person who is familiar with Miller's style of play is his close friend Vinnie Trocheck.
He recalls the two playing the game of hockey at the ages of nine and ten, and his parents would have to consistently calm him down.
«He's actually calmed down a lot since then,» Trocheck said. «He's definitely calmer now. When we were nine, ten years old, our dads would have to come down and settle him down. He was smacking his stick up his head, so things have changed a little bit there.»
Despite being calm off the ice, his intensity shows every night.
And the two have reunited, as Miller moved into Trocheck's home with no complications.
«This has been a pipe dream for 10 years in the making,» Trocheck said. «We came in the league around the same time, grew up together since we were 9 years old, live about 500 yards from each other back in Pittsburgh, our kids are really close. We've been talking about it forever. It means a lot.»

These are the kind of stories you love to hear about in the sport of hockey. Two people bonding over a sport and creating lifelong friendships afterward.
Now, they'll get to share the bench, and a house every night, and with hope the chemistry will be one that keeps the Rangers in the hunt for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
This season he's played 45 games split between the Canucks and Rangers and has scored 39 points (11 G, 28 A).
