New York Rangers goalie reveals his true feeling's about the organization
New York Rangers goalie, Jonathan Quick has embraced his new role as a backup goaltender with the organization.
Quick has an impressive record with two Stanley Cup victories with the L.A. Kings, and but was restricted to ice time with the Vegas Golden Knights back in 2022-23, but not is stats are staring to improving once again now that he is with the Rangers.
This past season, Quick played 26 for the Rangers and held an impressive record of 18-6-2 with GAA of 2.62 and a save percentage of .911. Quick played a very important role with the Rangers as he kept their season alive when Igor Shesterkin wasn't at his best, and needed time to find his rhythm.
In a recent interview he revealed how he truly feels about the team, as he feels like they are coming together to build something special that could lead them to a Stanley Cup victory in the near future.
"We know what we have in that locker room," goalie Jonathan Quick said via NHL.com. "We know how good of a group we are. You lose and obviously you soak that loss a little bit, that stings for a little bit until you realize you have another season here to look forward to and build into, so you start preparing for that. That's the mindset."
Prior to the season ending, he had signed a one-year extension worth $1.275 million. It's expected for him to continue his great play.
