With the new season underway, New York Rangers star defenseman Adam Fox issues strong warning to New York Rangers teammates' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Adam Fox sends a stark warning to his teammates on how hard it is to play In New York City under constant scrutiny.

Fox spoke to The Athletic when making his comment and he states that as much as it's great to play for the city that never sleeps and all the perks that come with it there is downfalls as well which can make it more difficult to win while under a microscope.
«A big city like New York, a historic team like the Rangers, almost every year is a little bit of Stanley Cup or bust,» Fox admitted, according to The Athletic. «When you play for a team that's this historic, it carries a little more weight and makes not achieving that goal sting even harder.«
It's been 30 years since the Rangers have won the Stanley Cup in 1994 and the organization has gone through its ups and downs but this recent rebuild and championship window still appears strong as the team came within a few games of a Stanley Cup final last year.
The 26-year-old defenseman who stands at 5 foot 11 and 183 lbs is entering his sixth season with the Rangers. Over the past three seasons he has been consistent with his point production as he has had over 70 points every year and helped the team go on long playoff runs.
Fox added to his point that the Rangers window for a championship is still open, but the team is beginning to age and that the time to win is now as they feel they have the proper personnel to get the job done.
«Teams don't get any younger. You always talk about a window, and we're clearly in that window. I don't know if it's necessary to go into the year saying, This is the year,' but I think we are a group that's been around it long enough that not getting a Stanley Cup is coming short of a goal,» Fox added.

The Rangers looked build off their success from last year and hope this time around they will go all the way and break that cup drought in 2025.
