New York Rangers top prospect to be called up for the 2024-25 season
The New York Rangers are looking to switch things up a bit, but are very limited on cap space to do so.
So, why not go to your prospect pool and see what you got? Who can join the team next year?
This is without a doubt a long shot, but one possible player who would be a great call up is Gabe Perrault, who is currently the #1 prospect in the Rangers system.
The 19-year old forward was the 23rd overall pick of the 2023 NHL Draft. Last year he managed to tally up 60 points in 36 games at the University of Boston of the NCAA. Definitely a great option for the Rangers to turn to if needed.
However, the more realistic choice is 21-year old winger Brennan Othmann.
Othmann was a 16th overall pick in the 2021 draft. Othmann had 49 points in 68 games with the Hartford Wolfpack. You'll be able to throw him on the third or fourth line next year if you want, as he's already played some NHL hockey.
