One of the Rangers Stars Has an Injury scare during training camp

Sometimes, this could be a negative thing as players go overboard in their attempt to impress.

The Rangers would have this scare happen today, as 1C Mika Zibanejad and 2C Vinnie Troecheck collided right in the middle of the ice.

Zibanejad would take the brunt of it and lay on the ice for a while before returning to the locker room eventually.

While the 31-year-old center saw a drop in production from 91 points in 2022-2023 to 72 points in 2023-2024. Zibanejad needs to find his A-game during 2024-2025, as he is carrying a $8.5 Million dollar cap hit and will need to justify it to keep his 1C position also.

Troecheck, saw himself soar in the Rangers lineup with Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere as linemates. He scored a career-high 77 points(25 G, 52 A ) in 82 games last season.

He'd go on to pass Zibanejad on the depth charts, and with ice time of 21:27 compared to Zibanejad's ATOI of 19:44.

The team would secure the President's Trophy as the best in the NHL with a record of 55-23-4.

Preseason begins for the Rangers on Sunday, against the Boston Bruins.
