Peter Laviolette got honest about the New York Rangers' lack of accountability today. He believes that for a cultural change to occur, it takes everyone in the locker room to own their mistakes.

Is this a start to a cultural shift in the New York Rangers organization? Recently Peter Laviolette preached accountability, but in practice, it's difficult to see if he's put it into practice.

The Rangers gave up 5 goals to the Los Angeles Kings, and let goalie Igor Shesterkin down. Along with losing 3-2 to the Blues tonight.

The team has played inconsistently, and it's time for the Rangers and Peter Laviolette to get grilled for it.

The team is 5th in the Metropolitan Division, with a 15-14-1 record and here's what he had to say about it.

The best players absolutely have to play their best, which is a problem with Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Reilly Smith, and Artemi Panarin are some of the issues in the lineup

If he wants to bring accountability and togetherness to the locker room, it sounds like it starts with him. Where has he been? Why does it look like the Rangers have tuned him out?

Their record shows a weakness in their game.

«You get into these messes with everybody and you get out of them with everybody, as well. I do think that that's an important part of it. You need everybody on the rope tonight.»

It's time for Laviolette to practice what he preaches at this point in the season. The Rangers need to buy in to Laviolette's system now.
