Rangers Ace Defenseman Discusses Adjusting Back To Lineup
The Rangers have gone 7-2-1 with Adam Fox out of the lineup.
They have gone 4-3-0 since his return and boast one of worst, if not the worst, defenses in the league during this stretch.
Yet he was the only one with a positive +/- in the 7-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night among the Rangers defensemen.
Adam Fox discusses adjusting back into the Rangers' lineup:
"Just slowly build into reading and seeing my chances to go and you know, you don't want to be an idiot out there at first when you come back and be jumping in when it's not the right time."
Fox also reflects on the loss last night.
"I thought our 2nd period, we came back and made it a competitive game there and obviously a penalty that they score on a power play, and like I said, it's tough to dig yourself out of multiple holes."
It will take more time to fix these errors defensively, especially with these early holes they keep digging themselves into each game.
Thankfully it's still early in the season, and the Rangers built room for error with their 19-7-1 record. Let's hope it doesn't take long for them to figure it out.
