Rangers Defensemen Have Really Elevated Offensively
The 6-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators last night hurt a bit, but the Rangers are still sitting pretty in first place in the Metropolitan Division and tied for first via point percentage in the whole league.
It's a long season with 58 games to go.
A big reason why the Rangers sit here today in first place, the offensive firepower of the defensemen!
This season, four Rangers defensemen have 12+ points, Adam Fox, Erik Gustafsson, K'Andre Miller, and Jacob Trouba.
The Rangers are the only team to have four defensemen with 12+ points so far.
They have been a bit shaky defensively for nearly two weeks, but it's something they can definitely get back into form, sooner rather than later.
The main focus is the playoffs, and there is still plenty of time to resolve this aspect of their game.
