The New York Rangers have positive news to share as Jimmy Vesey has made a leap forward in his recovery.

The forward was seen practicing of his own volition prior to the New York Rangers practicing in Tarrytown, NY.
Vesey would suffer a lower-body injury during training camp which led him to struggle off the ice. He would then later be placed onto the LTIR for the Rangers, as he'll miss about ten games, or 24 days for the team.
This is welcome news, as the Rangers have had to rely upon Adam Edstrom in the lineup, while Vesey is out on injury.
Vesey while a bottom-six forward, averaged 12:23 minutes on ice last season, scoring 26 points( 13 G, 13 A) in 80 games for the Rangers.
«We're still a couple days out on that,» coach Peter Laviolette told reporters. «What you saw is exactly what happened. He made it through the practice today without any issues and that's a positive

Vesey at this point in his recovery has no set date for return to the ice, but we will take this news of him skating on the ice, as a positive sign.
Vesey's absence left a void in the lineup, which Adam Edstrom, Jonny Brodzinski, and Matt Rempe will have to maintain, while he's away.
The depth forward was brought back to the Rangers 2 years ago on a PTO on September 2nd, 2022.
Since then he's clawed his way back into the starlight of MSG and Broadway, re-defining his playstyle as a depth forward for the Rangers.
