New York Rangers Division rival addresses recent rumours of his departure
New York Rangers Metropolitan Division rival addressed recent rumours.
Reports came out yesterday suggesting that Evegeny Kuznetsov will be leaving the Carolina Hurricanes and the NHL to head to Russia.
Kuznetsov was given a fresh start in Carolina after being traded from the Washington Capitals, which is why fans are so shocked to hear that he will be leaving the NHL.
Per championat.com Evgeni Kuznetsov is set to sign a 4-year contract with SKA as soon as he terminates his agreement with the Hurricanes #CauseChaos #Canes
Many believed the Hurricanes would place Kuznetsov on unconditional waivers so they could terminate his contract penalty free, but he obviously wasn't place on waivers considering the deadline has passed. This would suggests he's not actually leaving the league.
However, Kuznetsov has officially addressed these rumours:
Everything is possible in our life but it's too early to talk about Evgeny Kuznetsov return to Russia @Canes
