Rangers Newcomer Gives Input On First Goal And Game
The Rangers lost 4-2 to the Central Division leaders, the Winnipeg Jets.
They played their seventh game in a span of 11 days, so it looks like the brutal schedule has finally caught up to them.
Where everyone will agree the game slipped away, was the second period. Here is
Jimmy Vesey on the team performance in the second:
"The second period was unfortunately the difference in the game."
"It's tough to play even just one bad period like that."
Alex Wennberg was disappointed in the loss, but offered a bit of insight on scoring his first goal as a Ranger:
"It doesn't really matter when you lose the game, but there's something to build on for sure."
It is something to build on, as head coach Peter Laviolette will continue exploring the perfect lines as the playoffs inch closer for the Rangers.
