With the NHL heading down the stretch and teams are preparing themselves for the first round of the playoffs, the Rangers were facing off against a possible 2nd round matchup in the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Rangers were on the road and managed to stave off the Hurricanes in a gutsy 1-0 win.
After the game during the players availability, Rangers defenseman
Adam Fox gives his take on how important this win was.
The Rangers now hold a record of 43-18-4 with 91 points and a +43 goal differential. It's clear they are trying to lock their playoff spot in and getting closer to do so.
Beating teams like the Hurricanes in a close game are a great marker to where the team is sitting.
The team will continue it's road trip as they are in Tampa to face off against the Lightning.
They will be playing on March 13th and game time will be 7:00pm eastern.
