Rangers Rival Set To Land Biggest Name On The Market
Calgary Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin is one of the NHL's top trade candidates as we get closer to the March 8th deadline.
Noah Hanifin has seven goals and 23 points for the season.
Several teams have interest in acquiring him, and one of them is Rangers divisional rival, the New York Islanders.
Other teams reportedly interested in acquiring Hanifin are the Dallas Stars and the Florida Panthers.
There is also the rumor of the Flames actually offered an extension with $60M for 8 years to Noah Hanifin.
So there is the chance he could stay in Calgary.
It wouldn't make sense for the Flames to re-sign him when they can trade for a decent haul of picks or prospects.
The team is not built to win now like the other previously mentioned teams.
Noah Hanifin will become a free agent after this season.
His current salary is $4.95 million.
