With less than two months remaining until the NHL's March 8 trade deadline, Frank Seravalli breaks down each team in the East with a look at where they are now and where they're heading.

Of course our focus will be on the Rangers.
Check out the article for a full in depth view, it's a fantastic read!
He mentions the Rangers top line objective is a third line center, especially with the uncertainty surround Filip Chytil and if he will return this season.
The centers he mentioned as viable options is Sean Monahan, Adam Henrique and Kevin Hayes.
Monahan Is my personal favorite here. He is in the final year of a contract that pays an average annual value of $1.9 million, and has produced 23 points (10 goals and 13 assists).
Cap space would be much easier to manage here.
Henrique and Hayes would be an uphill mountain to climb and fit under the cap with their massive salaries, with the only possible solution would be to somehow offload Barclay Goodrow to clear space.
But that is unlikely.
Only time will tell with what Chris Drury magic we will get on the Rangers.
