Matt Rempe Excited To Face Off Against Player He Looked Up To
Fan favorite, Matt Rempe, has been the player most people having been tuning in to watch. His physical play, imposing size, and the potential to see him throw hands with the opposing teams "tough guy", is what makes him exciting.
Well we are going to see how he, and Tom Wilson, will interact on the ice. Rempe said that, when he was younger, he used to sometimes watch a montage of Wilson hits to get fired up.
Says he likes the way he plays:
"Yeah, A guy who I like the way he plays, plays hard. Very skilled player as well. It's a guy who does a lot of different things. Obviously, I got a lot of respect for that guy. I think he's a hell of a player. When I was younger, I think there's this montage of him on YouTube just blowing guys up. I used to watch that sometimes when I was younger, it got me fired up. I know he's a really good competitor."
It'll be exciting to see the dynamic. As for feeling prepared for the playoffs, he had this to say:
"Definitely, I feel good in my game. I feel I can bring an element. I know it's going to be a challenge, but I know that I'm definitely ready. I can bring a lot to help the team."
It's great to see head coach Peter Laviolette giving him a shot for the playoffs.
