Knicks Head Coach Giving High Praise To Historic Rangers Season
The Rangers clinched the league's best record with a 4-0 win over the Ottawa Senators at Madison Square Garden on Monday, leaving no doubt about their status as top team up to this point.
They also earned their first division title since 2014-15, and are now guaranteed home-ice advantage in every series they play, starting with the Washington Capitals in the first round.
For their incredible performance this season, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau gives major props to the Rangers:
"They've had an incredible year, it's great for the city. I like their style."
The Knicks have had incredible success this season as well, clinching the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, despite facing a myriad of injuries to players like Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, OG Anunoby amongst many others.
Both the Knicks and the Rangers will be looking to repeat the same success 30 years ago, when they both went to their respective championship series.
The only thing we hope changes this time, is that be both the Knicks and the Rangers win.
The Knicks lost the NBA Finals in seven games to the Houston Rockets.
Meanwhile, the Rangers won the Stanley Cup Finals in seven games over the Vancouver Canucks.
Both teams will be playing at the Garden this weekend.
The Knicks will play the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
The Rangers will play the Capitals Monday.
