This season, the New York Rangers have been involved in a lot of trade rumours, and now several insiders have just confirmed a trade massive between the Rangers and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Earlier in the season, the Rangers were involved in drama when GM Chris Drury openly stated that he was willing to trade a bunch of veteran players, and he certainly had.
Today, Frank Seravalli just reported that the New York Rangers and Vegas Golden Knights have just completed a trade for veteran forward Reilly Smith.

Along with that, reports are confirming that the New York Rangers are retaining 50 percent of Smiths $3.75 million salary cap.
22-year old forward Brendan Brisson, is a former first-round draft pick (29th overall) of the Golden Knights in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and has only made 24 NHL appearances while tallying 8 points during those games, two goals and six assists.
However, it was reported that Brisson will report to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
The 2025 third originally came from San Jose, which should make it high up in the round.
