The Colorado Avalanche announce shocking decision with former New York Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey

It was only a short time ago that the Rangers dealt Jimmy Vesey and Ryan Lindgren to Colorado, and now they're set to play their first game for the team. At least Ryan Lindgren is?
Ryan Lindgren and
Jimmy Vesey were part of a multi-piece deal that sent Juuso Parsinen, and defenseman Calvin DeHaan back to New York.
Now that the two have had time to settle in, it's time to suit up for their new squad right?
The Avalanche play the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight and will need all the help they can get.
That's why, Jared Bednar has decided to utilize defenseman Ryan Lindgren tonight, who will slot in on the third-pairing.
However, newly acquired forward Jimmy Vesey will not get the same shot as Lindgren, as he's a healthy scratch tonight.
It's not looking good for Vesey in his new home if he's already taken out of the lineup before he's ever begun either.
In January he was very vocal about his lack of utilization in New York, and it looks like he could have the same issues in Colorado.
Jimmy Vesey: «It feels like I have no role or purpose with this team. I'm kind of dying by being here.»
Vesey punched above his weight in 2023-2024, re-defining himself as a role player in New York.
Posting 26 points (13 G, 13 A) on the Rangers fourth-line, and now not good enough for Bednar either.
What will become of the former Hobey Baker Award Winner's career? Is destined to head to the AHL's Eagles organization?
