However, this afternoon Victor Mancini joined the New York Rangers at their practice as the team prepares to face off against the Edmonton Oilers.

Following the practice the 22-year old spoke with Mollie Walker of the New York Post and described what was going on when he got recalled to the Rangers:

Victor Mancini said he was about to put his skates on for practice in Hartford when he heard he got the call from #NYR

He arrived at his hotel last night at 3:30am.

Crazy how fast things can change! It was also confirmed by Colin Stephenson that Mancini will in fact be playing tonight:

Mancini in tonight, Laviolette says. And Quick starts, which was the plan all along. #NYR
