Taking a look at the New York Rangers projected lineups for their upcoming game against the Washington Capitals tonight at Capital One Arena at 7:30PM

The Rangers and Capitals will be facing off for the first time since the New York Rangers eliminated the Washington Capitals during the 2023-24 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

However, Rangers reporter Vince Z. Mercogliano has released the projected lineups for the New York Rangers on Monday:

Forwards

Rangerspractice lines:

Kreider - Zib - Smith
Panarin - Trocheck - Laf
Cuylle - Chytil - Kakko
Edstrom - Carrick - Rempe

Looks like No. 73 will be back in tomorrow.

Defenseman

RangersD pairs look like this:

Miller-Fox
Lindgren-Trouba

With that being said it's important to acknowledge that Matt Rempe will be tonight's lineup, considering he was just recalled to Rangers roster after being sent down to the AHL for two game.

According to reports head coach Peter Laviolette even confirmed that the young enforcer would in fact be in the lineup tonight, along with confirming that Igor Shesterkin will get the start tonight:

Laviolette confirmed that Rempe will slot in tonight and Igor is in net. #NYR

This could very well be the New York Rangers lineups for tonight's game against the Washington Capitals. However, this is just a projection, and things could change before tonight's game.
