The play-by-play announcer for the New York Rangers is hopeful for a deep playoff run for the team. He wants the Rangers to make it to the final dance, the Stanley Cup Finals, and honestly, who doesn't? But his goals are purely self-motivated.

That is, of course, part of the reason as beyond 2024-2025 Rosen will not be calling games for the Rangers. This is the "selfish" reason, and it's understandable, you want to go out on top.
This would give him a shot at calling the team in the Stanley Cup Finals again, as he hasn't had the chance since the 1994 Cup run.

Retirement

After 2024-2025 the Rangers will need to find a new personality to call games behind the mic after Rosen retires.
It's been a storied career, that has even won him a Doster Hewitt Award in 2016 that was given to him by the Hockey Hall of Fame.
But as his career reaches its twilight, let's hope that Rosen gets his wish one last time.
"This is what I grew up on," Rosen said. "I grew up in New York. I grew up in Brooklyn. I grew up as a Rangers fan. To do this, for as long as I have, is unbelievable. You don't keep count while you're doing it, but when you reach this point, you can look back and say, 'Hey, this has been a pretty good run.

'"And, of course, 1994 makes it the ultimate because they won the biggest prize of all, and they won it at the Garden, and nothing could be better than that." [H/T NHL.com]

The Rangers should do their best to give Rosen a send-off worthy of his legendary career.
