You can't win them all. No matter how hard you try. What you can do, is find silver linings in these losses.
Of course head coach, Peter Laviolette, will make the necessary adjustments needed in order to win tomorrow's game at home against the Arizona Coyotes.
What we as fans can point out, are some of the positives.
Like this, for example. Defensemen Erik Gustafsson, just scored his first goal as a Ranger, only 50 seconds into the game. Why is this significant?
Erik Gustafsson also had this to say prior to last night's loss:
Several of the blueshirts defensemen are two-way capable.
Adam Fox being the obvious answer. Fox last season, had 12 goals and 60 assist for 72 points. Generating offense at a whim from forcing turnovers, pass deflections and painful shot blocks to then be effective in passing the puck and generating shots for everyone.
Even in a loss, they were still able to generate 3 goals and not go out quietly to the Blue Jackets. Plus nearly generating a couple more goals before they were challenged and ruled offside.
Thankfully, the Rangers' have another 80 games, 41 of them at home, to gel and become a force we can see them being.
The New York Rangers will be hosting the Arizona Coyotes, Monday, October 16, at Madison Square Garden.
