Transaction: New York Rangers already found Sam Rosen's replacement?
Fans could be left wondering who will man the mic for the New York Rangers play-by-play position, once Sam Rosen leaves.
However, we know of one announcer and we don't need an election to figure out who's next in line.
That would be Kenny Albert, whom MSG Networks boss, Andrea Greenberg should consider right away.
Albert has been covering the Rangers on the radio before Alexis Lafreniere was even thought of. This all the while alongside partner Dave Maloney, and knows the Rangers inside and out.
His knowledge of the team could rival Peter Laviolette and Chris Drury easily, as a tenured Rangers personality.
This shouldn't be a question for Greenberg, and they are nice guys in the Brooklyn sense, according to Fischler, and have street smarts i.e. Albert's book "A Mic For All Seasons".
The Rangers would benefit from the continuity of Albert moving from the radio booth to TV, but that will of course be up to Andrea Greenberg.
