Despite coming off a disappointing season after facing serious injuries, Zegras was still able to manage 6 goals and 9 assists for a total of 15 points in 31 games, however prior to that he was coming off back-to-back 60 points seasons.

David Pagnotta also stated that Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek has set a «very high price» for the 23-year old, and clearly that hasn't stopped teams from showing interest.

«The Anaheim Ducks have generated a lot of interest in forward Trevor Zegras, and trade talks are expected to escalate this week in the days leading up to Friday's NHL Draft in Las Vegas... At least eight teams have expressed serious interest in Zegras.»

The 8 teams that have shown interest in Trevor Zegras:

Chicago Blackhawks
New York Rangers
Montreal Canadiens
Ottawa Senators
Philadelphia Flyers
Nashville Predators
Calgary Flames
Buffalo Sabres

Apparently to those close to Zegras, he is open to a change of scenery but it also completely comfortable starting the 2024-25 season in Anaheim.

However, Pat Verbeek is play hardball with rival teams and isn't interested in dealing his young star for a bunch of draft picks or prospects, instead he is looking for a player that has already proven himself and can step right into the Ducks lineup.
