The NHL All Star weekend gives the fans of the game a chance to see the best of the best show off their talents along with bringing their families into the festivities as the NHL enjoys their weeklong break.
Some stars bring their kids to participate with Rangers centre Vincent Trocheck allowing his son Leo to take part on the ice prior to the All-Star skills comp.
Leo was having a great time on the ice and displayed some of his hockey skills that he clearly inherited from his father as he showed off the crowd his Michigan.
Soon afterwards his father joined him on the ice, and they were both passing the puck and taking in the experience.
Trocheck's career has been riddled with injuries since he was drafted in 2011 by the Florida Panthers, in the third round, 64th overall.
Since joining the Rangers, he has produced well has he played 82 games last year and had 64 points.
This season, he's played 49 games while scoring 15 goals with 31 assists for 46 points with 41 penalty minutes.
He's been a solid contributor to the Rangers and the team and management have high hopes for him as they continue to push down the stretch to securing a playoff spot, going on the long run to win the Stanley Cup.
