Trocheck was center between Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere during the 2023-2024 NHL season. He would post 77 points( 25 G, 52 A ) while playing between the two-star wingers. They would all post some of their career-best numbers this past season.
Since his immediate impact on the Rangers, GM Chris Drury decided to lock him down long-term with a 7-year $39.75 Million dollar deal. A win for those on Broadway.
Trocheck earned that while performing as a clutch player in the playoffs, and debatably didn't have a bad game during the year.
Trocheck's ferocious energy was visible every night, as he'd play hard during the playoffs. He was the embodiment of playoff hockey.
His style of play led to 20 points in 16 games, a testament to his hard work.
He was by far the most consistent Rangers forward when it mattered the most, and could prove to be a pivotal piece for the Blueshirts this season.
The veteran's play style lends well to tough situations, as a scrappy, physical forward, with a scoring touch. A reliable two-way forward, any coach would want.
Trocheck may not be the flashiest player, but has the skills and style many of the competition would want on their team.
The Laffy, Bread and Trocheck line should again have another stellar year in New York, picking up right where they left off.
