Zibanejad Hits Major Milestone With Scoreless First Period
The Rangers and Capitals are scoreless after the first period.
Mika Zibanejad however hits a major milestone tonight! He is playing in his 800th game!
Mika Zibanejad's 281 goals are the fifth most by a Swedish-born player through 800 career games, behind only Mats Sundin (340), Daniel Alfredsson (306), Markus Naslund (297) and Henrik Zetterberg (289).
If Zibanejad scores tonight, he will become the 9th to do so as a Ranger in his 800th career game.
Zibanejad has had 11 goals and 23 points since November 22nd.
The second period will start soon with the Capitals on the power play.
