Zibanejad Looking To Build Momentum After His Best Game So Far
Mika Zibanejad will be looking to build up from his performance from Wednesday, when he played his best game of the season so far in the 1-0 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins!
It may not have been the stat sheet stuffer we were expecting to see, but he did produce an assist on the only goal of the game from Alexis Lafrenière.
Not only that, he was a presence defensively.
Take a look at this impact card for the Rangers, courtesy of HockeyStatCards.
Zibanejad impacts the game beyond just offense. He force turnovers, blocks shots, creates havoc on the ice, and he sets up his line-mates to take easier shots.
New York Post journalist, Larry Brooks believes it was his best game of the season as well!
"Mika Zibanejad's best game of the season by leaps and bounds. Breakout is on the horizon."
He is definitely bought in and will do everything he can to help this team win. Plus there's not too much pressure on him yet this early in the season.
Despite the offensive struggles, the Rangers are still 6-1-1 in that time, imagine where they'll be with a 100% Mika Zibanejad.
