Rangers GM Chris Drury makes surprising statement on Chytil
Filip Chytil had been out of the lineup, after being in concussion protocol after a hit in a game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
He would miss out on two games after playing game 3, with 12:02 TOI, with one shot on goal, against the Canes.
Chytil has been seen skating at practice while his playing status remains uncertain, while the team awaits puck drop on 7:30 PM against the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
During practice, he skated with Kaapo Kakko and Alex Wennberg, as a 3rd liner.
According to Chris Drury though, they're waiting to see how the next 24 hours go for Chytil.
But of course, Chytil's health is first and foremost and but they're happy he's back and hopefully he'll remain a possibility for the Rangers against the Panthers in game 1 of the ECF.
Due to Chytil's return to practice, Will Cuylle dropped to 4th line utilization with Jimmy Vesey and Barclay Goodrow.
Chytil has only played 10 games this season due to injuries, posting 6 assists in that timeframe.
Chytil has been out prior to April, since November 2nd, 2023 as a result of a concussion.
