Russian superstar suffers terrible injury during NHL Vs. KHL All-Star game
Washington Capitals superstar and captain Alex Ovechkin has suffered a brutal injury
Ovechkin returned to Russia to play in a hockey games known has the «Match of the Year» and while doing so he managed to injury himself.
During the recent All-Star game in Russia between the top Russian players in the NHL versus the best Russian KHL players, Ovechkin couldn't play in Sergei Mozyakin's farewell match due to a knee injury.
On a positive note, the injury doesn't appear to be too serious, and is likely to only keep Alexander Ovechkin from training for about a week or so.
Definitely a situation that had the Washington Capitals organization and their fans worried.
"This injury is not too serious and did not prevent Ovechkin from playing in the Game of the Year a week ago," said a source from Match TV.
"But now Alexander has decided to take care of himself so that he can begin full training in 10 days."
To be out for roughly ten days is not the worst news considering he will be ready to start training camp once it opens in about eight weeks.
