An official court ruling as been made on the driver who killed Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
The court has made a decision with the driver who killed both Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
Today marks exactly one week since the Gaudreau brothers were killed by Sean Higgins after he struck them with his vehicle. When Higgins made his first appearance in court he showed no remorse for the Gaudreau brothers, as he sat back in his chair and sighed about being held for a week.
However, today the judge had made an official ruling on whether Higgins would be released today or remain in custody, and needless to say it didn't go his way.
Higgins was hoping to be released from custody today, instead the judge made the decision that Higgins would remain in jail until September 13th.
This decision was made purely to give his attorney and the court more time to file for additional documents.
Sean Higgins could very well face up to 20 years in prison on just the two counts of vehicular homicide.
