It was reported on by an NHL Insider on Wednesday that Milan Lucic is attempting to make a return to the NHL by signing a PTO with the New Jersey Devils.
Lucic returned to the Boston Bruins last season but unfortunately it didn't last long as the Bruins placed the veteran on a Leave of absence after just four games with the organization.
The reason behind that being, Lucic was arrested after facing some serious charges against his wife, in the end the charges were eventually dropped because his wife did not want to testify against him.
Radio commentator for the Edmonton Oilers revealed that Milan Lucic will be signing a professional tryout contract with the New Jersey Devils soon.
However, it's seems that this might all be false as Lucic still isn't eligible to return to the NHL because he entered into the NHLPA Players Assistance Program after his arrest, and only NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is able to clear him, and allow him to return to the NHL.
