It has been revealed what Sean Higgins' potential prison sentence will be after being responsible for the tragic deaths of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
The hockey community is still mourning the deaths of 31-year old Johnny Gaudreau and his little brother Matthew, as they were struck by Sean Higgins last Thursday while riding their bikes.
According to a recent report, we now know how much time Sean Higgins, the perpetrator of this horrendous crime will face in prison.
Higgins's is in big trouble as he faces two counts of vehicular homicide changers, along with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, having open alcoholic drinks in a motor vehicle, improper passing and executing of a lane change.
However, the vehicular homicide is enough to get him a sentence anywhere between, 5-10 years and is a second-degree charge, but he's on two counts, which means he's looking up to at least 20 years in prison for the homicide charges alone.
Without a doubt Higgins will face severe time in prison. However this won't make the Gaudreau family feel any better about losing the two brothers, Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.
The detention hearing is scheduled for team today, September 5th.
