As he was describing his thoughts, it was quite apparent that he was emotional and choking up at times trying to explained the passion he felt as he spent five years of his life with the Coyotes as a player.
He showed great respect and high appreciation for the organization along with all players, staff and other members of the organization who helped him play out his dream along with starting his media career.
He also called out the ownership that sold the Coyotes to Salt Lake City and stated that he hopes they will not be part of the new team that could be brought in within the next five years.
Positive tributes and statements continue to come out from people who have worked with the organization including Todd Walsh who is the coyotes broadcaster.
He gave a 5 minute send off that was excellent and worth the watch.
The Coyotes relocation was officially approved by the NHL Board of Governors this afternoon which paves the way for Salt Lake City to become the next NHL city.
Newly minted owner Ryan Smith had purchased the team for $1.2 billion and will acquire all contracts and the day-to-day operations of the Coyotes.
The team will be playing next year in the delta centre which is home to the Utah Jazz of the NBA.
Time will tell on how successful this franchise will be but it's expected to be aggressive in terms of re energizing the line up and making them a contender within a short period of time.
