But during a discussion and NHL TNT, Paul Bissonette explains that he hopes the Toronto Maple Leafs will fall to a wild card spot to give a better match up versus the New York Rangers.
This matchup would certainly be entertaining as both teams have prolific scoring and good talent across the offence and defence.
Both teams have improved in certain areas after the trade deadline and the goaltending matchups are more in the Rangers favor.
The only issue with his wish, is that the Maple Leafs would need to have a catastrophic ending in their last eleven games as they currently sit 3rd in their division and would need to drop to the second wild card to play the Rangers.
It's quite unlikely the Maple Leafs will lose the rest of their games and will continue to put their foot on the gas after losing their last two.
It's likely the Rangers will continue their winning ways as they continue to pile the points with 10 games remaining and with the Carolina Hurricanes 3 points behind but no games in hand, the Rangers certainly have the control on there finish of the season.
