Former Stanley Cup Champion makes unexpected return to the NHL
Former NHL captain and Legendary Anaheim Ducks forward will be being the NHL Department of Player Safety.
Legendary Anaheim Ducks forward, Ryan Getzlaf will officially return to the NHL after retiring in 2022, and now join the NHL Department of Player Safety.
The main objective of NHL Department of Player Safety, is to insure that players are kept safe while on the ice, and hand out fines and suspension to players guilty of infractions.
Ryan Getzlaf has had an impressive career in the NHL while playing alongside his fellow teammate, Corey Perry. However both of them are now on different paths as Perry signed a new deal with the Edmonton Oilers.
Despite Getzlaf's and Perry's relationship, the two might reunite one day considering Perry is known for taking suspensions and fines, as many have joked about:
The Anaheim Ducks even made sure to be involved and joke around with their former captain as he lands this new job.
