Maple Leafs fans disrespect the Gaudreau brothers during 13-seconds moment of silence
Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau's tribute gets disrespected by fans at the Scotiabank Arena as the Toronto Maple Leafs faced the Ottawa Senators.
The hockey world will forever grieve the tragic loss of Johnny and his brother Matthew Gaudreau, after the two brothers were struck and killed by a drunk driver named Sean Higgins, the night before their sister wedding.
The deaths of the Gaudreau's have left a great impact on the hockey community, and hockey organizations will continue to honour the brothers.
Many teams throughout the National Hockey League have held a video tribute for the two brothers followed by 13-seconds of silence, to honour the two young men.
Sunday night, the Maple Leafs held their tribute for the brothers before they faced the Boston Bruins, however things took an unexpected turn as some fans might not have understood what a moment of silence was.
A few fans have expressed their frustration towards the person would interrupted the moment of silence:
«Love it.
Also shut the fuck up you disrespectful shits.»
«How could you not shut the fuck up for 13 seconds! Such disrespect.»
Truly disgusting behaviour from some fans, despite being exiting to cheer for your team, you need to be respectful during a situation like this.
