It's highly unlikely the Montreal Canadiens won't provide an update on Patrik Laine on Monday(today) but some terrible news has emerged.
As Canadiens fans wait patiently for an update on the former second-overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Patrick Laine, who let a recent game following a devastating knee-on-knee with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Cedric Pare.
Earlier today, Laine showed up to the Canadiens practice in Brossard this morning, as he watched from the bench with his left knee in a brace and walking with crutches. However, he appeared to be in decent mood as he smiled and talked with his teammates.
Following the morning practice, Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis spoke to the press regarding Patrik Laine's injury, clearly stating that it's a devastating injury.
Despite everyone being in high hopes, new reports have just surfaced stating that Patrik Laine is out for the 2024 calendar year.
Truly a devastating update, as Patrik Laine seemed excited to be back on the ice this year.
