The tragic passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau has deeply affected the hockey community, since their deaths there has been so many memorials and tribute from the entire hockey world. To add that, the National Hockey League has done so much to honour the brothers.
However, the National Hockey League seems to have another beautiful tribute for the brothers that everyone seems to love and support.
According to a recent report from B/R Open Ice, every team around the National Hockey League will have a decal on the back of their helmets to honour Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau until October 24th.
Everything seemed great until the NHL has decided to put a deadline on this tribute as it was stated by B/R Open Ice, players will only have this decal on the back of their helmets until October 24th. Which doesn't seem right considering the severity of the situation.
As of right now, no one knows why the NHL would decide to put a deadline on something that has affected so many throughout the hockey community.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time the NHL has done something great, but has instantly decided to tarnish their reputation by making a silly decision like this one.
