The Hartford Wolf Pack goalie, made the decision to sign in Finland's Liiga with the Pelicans. He penned a one-year deal in the league.
The first goalie taken off the board in the 2018 NHL draft, just couldn't seem to cut it in the NHL. Taken in the 2nd round, 39th overall played 29 Games in the ECHL this season with the Cincinnati Cyclones, and played 7 games in the AHL this season with the Wolf Pack.
Among those drafted with Lindbom, was Justus Aunnen, Lukas Dostal, Samuel Ersson, and Joel Hofer who have made NHL starts or made the leap already, which could prove to be a regrettable pick for the Rangers.
The Stockholm born goalie, waited until 2022 to sign his ELC with the Rangers, and came over after putting up not-so-great numbers in HockeyAllsvenskan and hasn't been able to justify promotion into the AHL or NHL.
He struggled in Cincinnati, posting a .884 save percentage, 3.56 GAA, 1 SO and 10-15-3 record in 29 games.
He improved slightly in Hartford with a .916 save percentage, but his performance in the ECHL didn't make for a promising NHL future.
The Rangers could give him a qualifying offer, while he's playing in Finland, retaining his signing rights. However, it is uncertain whether Chris Drury and company will tender an offer to the 6'2" netminder.
