NHL veteran has officially abandoned the National Hockey League after 11 seasons
NHL veteran officially calls it a career with the National Hockey League.
Washington Capitals veteran Evgeny Kuznetsov has had an outstanding career in the NHL and is now heading overseas for the next four-years.
During Kuznetsov's time in Washington he had tremendous success playing alongside his superstar captain Alexander Ovechkin.
However, things took an unexpected turn in recent years, leading him to depart from the Capitals and joining the Carolina Hurricanes where he bounced back with 7 points in 20 games.
Now, according to recent reports the veteran is on the move again, and will be returning the KHL and joining the SKA St. Petersburg.
Per http://championat.com Evgeni Kuznetsov is set to sign a 4-year contract with SKA as soon as he terminates his agreement with the Hurricanes #CauseChaos #Canes
This is a major move considering the 32-year old was once considered one the elite centers in the NHL, and as this just may be the last contract Kuznetsov will sign before he retires.
