Pair of veterans from New York to be offered PTO contracts from Canadian team
Two players from New York are rumoured to be offered professional tryouts by Canadian team.
Both unrestricted free agents Cal Clutterbuck and Matt Martin who played with New York Islanders last season could be offered PTO's by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
As the offseason continues to wind down, there's a handful of veterans who remain unsigned but still have value to some organizations if given another chance, such as a PTO.
Both Clutterbuck and Martin have played close to 1000 NHL career games, but Martin is already familiar with the leafs as he playing two seasons with organization from 2016-2018.
Both these veterans are not afraid to check games and drop the gloves if needed. With that being said, maybe the New York Rangers could also offer them a PTO contract as they desperately need some grit and toughness.
