NHL insider, Dan Rosen has also reported that Benoit Allaire will step down from his day-to-day duties with the organization, but will remain the director of goaltending.
Allaire has been with the organization since 2005 as an assistant and then served as the Rangers goalie coach since 2011-22 season.
Allaire has been a massive part of the New York Rangers successful goaltenders like Hall of Famer Henrik Lundqvist and their current starting goalie Igor Shesterkin.
Jeff Malcolm has spent the last three season as the goalie coach for the Rangers AHL affiliate team, The Hartford Wolf Pack. Malcolm was once a player for the Wolf Pack between the 2013-14 and 2016-16 seasons, and spent time in the ECHL.
The organization has also promoted Brendan Burke, the son of former NHL goaltender Sean Burke, as their new goalie coach for the Hartford Wolf Pack. Before this prom he was recently the director of goaltending for the Arizona Jr. Coyotes AAA organization.
Huge congratulations to all who received promotions today within the New York Rangers organization, keep up the great work!
