The Columbus Blue Jackets reveal how they would like to honour the lives of both Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau and it's truly a class act.
The hockey world continues to grieve over the loss of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, but today the Blue Jackets revealed how they will honour the brothers this upcoming season.
During the Blue Jackets first preseason game and All throughout the 2024-25 regular season, the team will be wearing a special sticker on their helmets that will have «Gaudreau» written on along with both their numbers (13, and 21) with two doves between the numbers.
It doesn't end there, as the Blue Jackets will have a patch on their jerseys to honour them for the entire season, the Blue Jackets will also be handing thing patch out to fans who attend the home opener.
NHL insider and Sportsnet Elliotte Friedman also released that Blue Jackets will leave Gaudreau's stall on the dressing room and will have his jersey hung there for the entire season.
Trust a classy and heartwarming gesture by the Blue Jackets.
