Rangers: We now know Chris Kreiders and Mike Zibanejad's next linemate
It appears that Head Coach Peter Laviolette has found his next top-six winger.
Laviolette has put his faith in Reilly Smith, as Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad's new linemate.
Laviolette has faith in Smith's abilities as a proven winner in the NHL, as he was a regular performer in the Stanley Cup playoffs with the Vegas Golden Knights.
He won the hardware in 2023, with a hard-fought series against the Florida Panthers.
Smith spent a disappointing 2023-2024 in Pittsburgh posting 40 points(13 G, 27 A) in 76 games with the Penguins.
New York could prove to be a place for Smith to revitalize his career, and prove he has what it takes to make the Rangers a winner.
In 78 games with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2023, he scored 56 points( 26 G, 30 A) and with hope he can return to form.
