Original six organization announces new captain for the 2024-25 season
An original six organization has made a massive announcement this morning as they've named a new captain.
The Chicago Blackhawks have announced this morning that Nick Foligno will become the 35th captain of their organization.
Since the 2022-23 season the Blackhawks have been without a captain after Jonathan Toews left the organization due to health problems.
However, that's all changed now as the Chicago Blackhawks announced that heading into the 2024-25 season they will now have another captain, Nick Foligno.
YOUR CAPTAIN NICK FOLIGNO
Now that Foligno is entering his second season with the Blackhawks and has been named the 35th captain of the franchise, it makes you wonder if Toews will ever return to the NHL.
Foligno is no stranger at wearing the C as he once wore it when he was with the Columbus Blue Jackets for his last six of nine seasons with the team from 2015 to 2021.
