New York Rangers divisional rivals reveal that their veteran forward will be sideline for the entire 2024-25 season.

The Washington Capitals have made quite a few signings this offseason, and fans were starting to wonder how they would afford these signings while remaining under the cap salary, but now we know as they've lost TJ Oshie for the season.
It has now been over five years since TJ Oshie played more than 60 games in a season for the Capitals due to ongoing injuries, and unfortunately this year he will miss the entire season as he is being placed in LTIR.
After the news broke TJ Oshie took to social media to and released a statement showing gratitude to his fans:
«The last season was challenging for me, my family and my teammates as I dealt with a chronic back injury that kept me out of the lineup. I have used the off-season to explore and pursue long-term solutions for my injury. I remain committed to the process and am working and doing my best to regain total health. I will continue to support and help my teammates and the organization in any way I can. I greatly appreciate all our fans support during this time.»
Clearly the 37-year old is eager and determined to return with his team, as the Capitals are preparing to make a run for the Stanley Cup before Ovechkin retires.
