The New York Rangers will reportedly be buyers at the trade deadline, after the acquisition of J.T. Miller. Now they'll look to improve their center depth and add a 3C.

Since the Rangers acquired J.T. Miller, they have shifted Mika Zibanejad to the wing on the team's 1st-line.
The team needs center depth, as they traded Filip Chytil to the Canucks with Miller's return to Broadway.
Head Coach Peter Laviolette has confirmed that he has no intentions of changing the team's lineup considering how well Miller has worked out.
According to GM Chris Drury, the Rangers will prioritize acquiring a third-line center.
«I think the Rangers are going to be looking for a third-line center, and there are probably some available ... but what's the cost? ... I don't think they're going to want to do very many rental deals in order to try and get into 8th place," Larry Brooks of The New York Post said.

The Rangers could still manage to make it into a wild-card position in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
They sit only five points out of the second wild-card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and Miller could help the push.
But they'll still need help, or else they could lose the hunt entirely.
Instead of prioritizing a rental, he should find a player who he could extend, and win with long-term.
In recent weeks, they've lost a shot at Mikael Granlund, who was traded to the Dallas Stars for assets.
While, there's a possibility of the Rangers and Islanders collaborating to sign someone like Brock Nelson who could be a game changer and add another elite center down the middle.
Or they could look to Toronto, and see if they could wrestle away hometown product John Tavares from the Maple Leafs.
Either way, the pickings are slim when it comes to free agents, and he may have to settle for a veteran on a bargain deal, or a younger 3C.
The Rangers currently have $9.3 million in salary cap space at the moment, and need the right to piece to stay relevant in the postseason.
