The New York Rangers release a statement mourning the passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
The hockey community continues to mourn the tragic passing of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau, as it unfortunately confirmed today.
According to the CBS Philadelphia, New Jersey State Police said both Gaudreau brothers were riding their bikes Thursday after 8 P.M ET, when a man struck them with his car as he attempted to pass a slower vehicle.
The Columbus Blue Jackets confirmed the incident earlier this morning, stating:
The New York Rangers organization joins the rest of the NHL and hockey community in mourning the passing of Johnny and Matthew, the Rangers released a statement sending their condolences to the Gaudreau family:
«The entire New York Rangers organization is shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau. We send our deepest condolences to Johnny and Matthew's family, friends, and loved ones.»
