4 teams have significant interest in Rangers captain Jacob Trouba
Jacob Trouba may not be interested in leaving New York until 2025 at the earlier, but he does have suitors.
In an odd incident, where, like Torey Krug, a player exercised his NTC, after all, teams are still looking to trade for the Rangers Captain.
Trouba, who exercised his veto power on a trade, is drawing significant interest from his hometown Detroit Red Wings, Nashville Predators, Buffalo Sabres, and Anaheim Ducks are in on the defenseman.
This was reported by The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, as earlier prior to free-agency, GM Chris Drury was working the phones in an attempt to clear $8 Million in cap space, from the Rangers books.
It was reported due to the fact that Trouba's wife was working on her residency in New York as a physician, Trouba nixed the trade to Detroit.
Trouba's name has reached No. 2 on The Fourth Period's trade watch board, for this summer.
GM Chris Drury was asked about the defenseman's future in New York, and used very cryptic wording:
«Jacob plays hard every night, provides a lot of leadership for us,» Drury said via The New York Posts' Mollie Walker. «Jacob knows what I think of him as a person and a player and I'm going to keep any private conversations I have with him or his agent keep it private.
With the majority of free-agency moves being completed, it seems like another mountain to climb to move the New York Rangers Captain.
